Leicester Races

{racingfixtures|Leicester}
Many of the United Kingdom’s racecourses seems to offer facilities, services, fun and excitement which is geared towards a variety of tastes and needs, but Leicester Races seems to have got the formula just right.

This famous racecourse enjoys a reputation for year-round meetings, supplying both flat and National Hunt meetings. There are 20 flat and 11 National Hunt fixtures in a year. What’s more, there are some wonderful themed and special days, totalling in at 5 premium days which are not to be missed by those who like to mix a little of life’s lighter pleasures with the drama and excitement of great racing.

Leicester Races, inside rail One of the main attractions has to be Ladies Evening on the 13 June. After a day’s exciting racing, there is an after party with Lee Memphis King, the world-famous Elvis tribute act. As with the Bad Manners featuring Buster Bloodvessel fixture day, there are some great ways to experience it all and without having to worry too much about money, even if you haven’t placed a winning bet.

Recession busting, party packages are a very popular choice for six or more guests. There are two packages, the Party Gold and Party Platinum. The Gold is priced at £25 per person and entitles you to Grandstand access, 3 drinks with the provided vouchers, a food voucher and free access to the live entertainment which takes place after the meeting. The Platinum package is £33 per head and includes an additional 2 drink vouchers and a £2 tote betting voucher.

While the premium racedays are always well attended and filled with fun, food, festivity and pleasures over and above the thrills on the turf, the party packages are just one way to experience Leicester Races. Many guests opt for hospitality packages, which are great way to entertain business clients, colleagues or even friends and family. For the purposes of raceday hospitality, Leicester Races has some superb facilities.

The Club Room takes a place of honour as a very special, stylish and exclusive space. It requires that a minimum of 80 book it, and it can accommodate up to 120 people, but those who find themselves enjoying a day of betting action and nail-biting finishing post drama, will find they are enjoying a fantastic view of the racecourse while having all they could possibly need for a fully-rounded, luxurious and pleasurable day. Included in the package price for each person, are bar facilities, a two-course buffet and access to the viewing terrace, which is shared with trainers and owners. Naturally, there is also a tote betting service and racecards are included in the price.

For corporate hospitality on a raceday for fewer people, the executive boxes are ideally luxurious with spectacular views of the track from the private viewing balconies. Boxes are available for groups between 15 and 40 people, and the per head price includes all the goodies which allow a racefan to bet, watch the action and have a range of delicious food to keep them going. For those in a festive mood, there’s also an all-inclusive drinks package optional extra for £20 per person.

Those who just want to experience Leicester Races in a traditional way, might be lucky enough to get a table at The Nelson Restaurant. Here too you’ll find a package, one which includes a table reserved for the day. And a table with such a marvellous panoramic view of the track is not to be sneezed at, nor is the delightful food which can be enjoyed at a leisurely pace from starters to coffee.

When the fixtures are over, the racecourse does not close down at all. The venue is also the county’s premier conference and events centre.

Leicester Races, photo finish The Nelson Suite is an appealing venue which can host events for up to 400 delegates. It is situated on the first floor of the Grandstand and can be adapted to the suit the needs of almost any style of gathering.
